Alexander Pope's poem An Essay on Criticism

Understanding, accepting, and forgiving are the sentiments masked by the humor of Error Objects. On the surface, Error Objects display a sense of dark humor, the quality of another viral-able internet meme of the late capitalist era. It is rather difficult to hold a giggle when looking at Nikornsaen’s wit in combining different aspects into everyday objects and making them as inconvenient as possible. Looking at the videos of these flawed objects awkwardly attempting to perform their due to failed jobs evokes empathy and forgiveness. These are the objects that are incubated from the sweat stream and shaky hands of anxiety.

Nikornsaen’s intention for her objects that leads to their failures offers these objects new possibilities in their purposes. Whether as a joke or as an art work, the objects already evokes sentiments and conversation to its viewers. While everyday objects have withstood centuries of trials and errors to become the best version that suits our needs, humans only have one life to experiment. And while objects often have limited function, we, as humans, still ponder over the purposes of our lives. Nikornsaen personifies objects in a society that objectifies people and leaves us to ponder upon the input and output that forge us into the person we are today.

ความจงใจของนภัสกรที่สร้างสรรค์ “Error Objects” ให้วัตถุเหล่านี้เกิดความผิดพลาดได้นำไปสู่ความเป็นไปได้ใหม่ในวัตถุประสงค์ของพวกมัน ไม่ว่าจะในฐานะมุกตลกหรือผลงานศิลปะ วัตถุเหล่านี้ล้วนกระตุ้นความรู้สึกและชวนให้ผู้ชมเกิดการสนทนา ในขณะที่เครื่องใช้ในชีวิตประจำวันได้ผ่านการลองผิดลองถูกมาหลายศตวรรษจนกลายเป็นสิ่งที่เหมาะสมที่สุดเพื่อสนองความต้องการของเรา แต่มนุษย์กลับมีชีวิตเพียงหนึ่งเดียวที่จะได้ทดลองใช้ วัตถุอาจมีหน้าที่จำกัด แต่ในฐานะมนุษย์ เราต่างยังใคร่ครวญถึงจุดหมายของชีวิต นภัสกรสร้างตัวตนให้กับวัตถุในสังคมที่ปฏิบัติกับผู้คนกลายเยี่ยงสิ่งของ ทั้งยังชวนให้เราไตร่ตรองถึงแรงกระทำและผลลัพธ์ที่หล่อหลอมเราให้เป็นตัวตนในตอนนี้
